HD Gaming Pro Lab Reviews – Uniform scale outputs

IV. UNIFORM SCALE OUTPUTS:

4. Uniform scale outputs (1:1 pixel equivalence):

As we mentioned before, the images might be stretched if your monitor can’t deal with non-native resolution inputs with 1:1 pixel equivalence. In other words, you have to choose appropriate games depend on the physical features of your monitor if you want excellent fidelity. We believe the 1:1 pixel equivalence still is a problem bothers many video gamers.

The HD Gaming Pro is quite commendable to offer three screen models for us – full screen, 16:9 and 4:3. The gamers therefore are able to switch among the three models anytime about using it, so if you hook up a 1080P HD source, it won’t be stretched to fill your 1200 resolution any more.

Let’s have a look below two screenshots from XBOX360 on 16:10 screen at 1440X900 resolutions. (Since this round we only focused on the 1:1 mapping module, we didn’t adjust the saturation value to reproduce the original details. Therefore there is obvious colour difference in the below pictures. If you want to achieve perfect image colour, please adjust the saturation values in the “Color Menu”. ) The first picture is originally constructed from Samsung SyncMaster 940MW, the image was stretched to fill the full 16:10 panel. From the third picture, you can see the obvious stretching of the sight and the holes. By using 16:9 output model of HD Gaming Pro, the image was forced into 16:9 scales with black bars on the top and bottom sides. The sight and the holes were perfectly reproduced at their original shape. This should be credited to the awesome 1:1 pixel equivalence technique (also called uniform scale output format) which can automatically add black bars on each side of the screen to maintain the fidelity and original format of images.

5. Additional VGA in and audio in/out ports:

COOSIS really spent a lot time on the humanistic designs. The HD Gaming Pro has been developed with an extra VGA input for your computer, to allow you switch between computer and game console easily. Not surprisingly, COOSIS again moved further than its competitors. HD Gaming Pro was especially integrated an extra audio input for the computer. That means not only the images could be switched between computer and game console efficiently, but also the sounds. This product indeed helps you out of connecting the mussy cables.
